International seminar in Tirana 13-14/6-2012

Artists and project managers from Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania and Sweden presented the implementation of their work in the project during the international seminar in Tirana, Albania 13-14/5-2012. The projects manual, video "Clothes workshop" and magazine 4 was distributed. Marinela Sota, director for Refraction Association and Charlotte Åberg, project manager for Konstfrämjandet were interviewed by the National television in Albania.

Exhibition in Stockholm 10-22/5-2012

The opening of the international exhibition at Mångkulturellt Centrum in Botkyrka was held the 10th of may. Fifteen participants from Kosovo, Macedonia and Albania attended on the event. There were presentations for Konstfrämjandet and  the National Federation of Peoples Parks and community center during the day.

Coaching in Tirana, Albania 20-21/3-2012

The third coaching in the project continued the 20-21 of march in Tirana. Refraction Association, the project owner, has implemented pilot-project at seven places in Tirana: An institution for disabled, a drug rehabilitation centre, an elementary school, a private school for children, a school for Roma children, a prison for juvenile criminals and an orphanage. There are eighteen artists who works with the pilot-projects.

Coaching in Skopje and Ohrid, Macedonia 16-18/3-2012

Media Artes arranged the second coaching in the project "The Use of Art Where it's Hard to Talk" in Macedonia. The 16th of  March the swedish team attended on a workshop at Dendo Vas Centre, Suti Orizati, a Roma community outside Skopje. The coaching continued the 17th of March in Skopje and the 18th of  March in Ohrid. Alltogether there are 4 pilot-projects;  at a school for Roma children and teenagers in Suti Orizati, at H.O.P.S, a drug rehabilitation center in Skopje, at an institution for children with disabilities in Skopje and at an Elementary School in Ohrid.

 

Coaching in Pristina, Kosovo 30-31/1-2012

The third training in the project "The Use of Art Where it's Hard to Talk" took place in Durres, Albania 11-13th of October 2011 and was led by swedish artist Lott Alfreds, Helena Byström, Pontus Lindvall and project manager Charlotte Åberg.
